So would you say the manuals are now quicker from 0-100? Does this mean if you want to have a bit of fun in a manual now you can't light the rears up as it just goes straight to launch control?

James, about time someone can give us a heads up on the manual. Can you give us some more info on the manual please. How would you compare it to the auto performance and drivability wise?

If you listen to the Video you can hear the car in "Launch Mode" this is with the throttle flat to the floor, boost is set at 20% and RPM limited to 3500 with 2 Cylinders off line. AKA Indy car pit lane limiters

When the cluth is released bye bye XR6T

Yes it smoked all autos today and all this week

In the background you can hear Dick Johnson commenting on how it works. His son "Son of Dick Johnson" is the driver, this was his first drive of the manual with launch control.

His words were "You can feel the instant boost all they way off the line, very impressive"

Umm F6 Manual ..............

yes the manual is quicker 0-100.... keep in mind the auto does it in 5.1 secs and the manual hoses it

Jetters . as you say the M6 is quicker to 100kph , this is basically only a 1-2 gear change. I suppose my question is

what will the result be at the end of 400m.In your opininion, does the manual get a big enough lead off the line to hold

on to beat the auto. I reckon neck and neck at the end.

It will be interesting to see what happens once we start modding these bad boys and how the edit interfaces with

the capabilities of launch control. Sticky tyres won't hurt

A very good question.

You would loose boost during gear change but on the other side of the coin you are not loosing as much RWKW via the gear box ?

Does one cancel the other ?

Time will tell.

I was always a Auto driver until today. The gearbox is very very smooth and the shifter is mounted higher in the center console.

buffers... going by seat of the pants and playing all day today... I would say the manual will have the auto over 1/4 VERY comfortably.

with the edit.... who knows?? only time will tell... maybe the autos will still hold their own

me wants to trade the BF 6speed auto ute... to a manual FG

Drive away no need to "run it in"

After the treatment dished out to those cars today, smoking brakes frying tyres I am suprised they still run at all.

Did anyone try this out?
