groper Member 611 Member For: 17y 10m 1d Posted 14/05/08 12:11 PM Share Posted 14/05/08 12:11 PM Well said groper. But does the actuator spring give more power or just enable the car to make more power down low ? I thought that it just got rid of lag and made a sharper curve.it enables the tuner to control boost easier, therefore he will be able to push it further and extract more power from it without worry of loss of boost control.you will get a flatter boost curve without such a big spike in it. that allows the tuner to run higher boost up high without a rediculous boost spike down lower and more linear power delivery if you want it... It allows the wastegate flap to stay shut longer allowing boost to build faster.. We offer a wastegate and flapper modofocation at a very affordable price.Jim

freeze_dk I am dissatisfied with my current employment situation Donating Members 8,610 Member For: 18y 2m 4d Gender: Male Posted 03/06/08 06:37 AM Share Posted 03/06/08 06:37 AM ok, im in a good mood and wont ask you to search the forum, but it goes like this;1. If its a manual, get a new clutch first, otherwise you will blow your tuning session.2. your valve springs are a maybe, if you really want 300+, change them otherwise you wont achive the potential of your other mods, and thus blow your tuning session.3. take injectors to install on the day of your tuning session, 968`s or siemans are fine at 300rwkw, go for whatever is cheaper, use the siemans if youll want 330+rwkw later.4. get a good intercooler if you have $1000 OR water/methanol injection for $500 if you wanna go a bit cheaper (band aid fix).5. punch the cat OR if you wanna stay legal, buy a good HI flow one and get it welded in, the rest of the exhaust is ok up to about 320rwkw.6. get a 12psi actuator installed (optional) but it will allow the tuner to control boost better and hell be able to give you a bit more power with it.the above will get you around 320rwkw. without the actuator ~ 300rwkw.hey guys just bumping his thread back up,, cbf making one which prob exists.. anyways,, with all mentioned above in the quote, what if it was an auto insted of a manual..? The 3' inlet X Force cat flows 700cfm which is plenty for the stock systems capability of 560cfm. next step up on this is to go with a 12psi actuator, and I will do this down the track. at the moment the power level is great.......especially on these wet sydney roads!
