Nothing wrong with six speed manual, a good strong box. They are in my opinion pretty smooth for a big strong box. If you mod your power level much you will need a stronger clutch, but the box will be strong enough for massive power.

The majority of people get autos cause they cant be bothered changing gears in traffic etc. Also... for a drag race start autos are quicker.

I have a manual 6 speed, and wouldnt choose any other, I like changing gears, and particularly when cornering on a twisty road, reckon it is better than an auto.

Like these guys have said, the manual is a great box to hold power, but it depends on what you want the car for. If you drag often, auto is the go

thanks guys seems like manaul has no major problems maybe people are talking abot the convienence of the auto

Maybe!

The manual is much more fun to drive though IMO. that's just a personal thing but I get no joy out of a slushbox, even a state of the art one like the ZF

I Believe the T56 is also rated the strongest of all of the factory fitted boxes too ( I could be wrong so dont quote me), so if you wanted to mod the hell out of it this is the box that will give the least probs. Just need a bullet proof clutch behind it and you are set!
