If they don't they are gonna be pushing sh*t up a hill.Anyone that places an order with us for an F6 for example, will be charged the new LCT rate to begin with, because we know that they won't get their car till late next month

Edit: And what are you guys doing if Mr Bloggs ordered and signed a contract for a new phoon three weeks ago but gets it next week....re-doing the contract? What a friggin nightmare for you poor bastards Edited 30/06/08 07:00 AM by tab

Even you would be able to appreciate the fact that its not the dealer charging you LCT, its the goverment. that's why they call it a statutory charge."You don't want pay? Sorry Mr Blogs, but I did explain to you that the LCT rate was under review and there was a very good chance that it would go up. As you can see here on the Special Conditions section of our contract - which you have signed - you are liable for any increase to those rates."If the contract is written properly and the customer is informed, our asses are covered! If they decide to increase the tax further than the 33% (which we are told is extremely unlikely) then I would assume there will be two options:1) The dealer takes it on the chin (unlikely)2) It will be left up to the Government to chase up the customer (a waste of time and money)Either way its rediculous that they would let this hang for so long

I cannot believe that this is being applied retrospectively, and more to the point I can't believe that the mainstream media hasn’t made any fuss about it. This is a pretty dangerous precedent these f*ckers are setting.

I guess you could say that we are like agents for collecting the money. It is our responsibility to give them the money one way or another. I believe that if we are unaware of any charges, I can't see how we can be made responsible for getting that money out of the customer at a later date. At the end of the day its not our charge, we don't make any money from it...Stupid Government...
