To prove my point next time its raining go out and put your wipers on intermittent and set the rotating slider to the SLOWEST speed. With the vehicle STATIONARY count the number of seconds between wipes. (It's six seconds from memory - could be wrong though... ) Now drive up to 100km/h.... count the number of seconds between wipes.... you will see that it is a lot less than 6 seconds.What Ford_Power said.Even the BA's have the variable speed wipers depending on the speed of the car.
