that is what I have done, and it sounds ok. you dont get a sharp punch at all though, and if you are used to an aftermarket deck with reasonable preouts you will be a little dissappointed. its ok but!

Exactly what he said..

All the gear in my car are Alpine, so I bought the alpine Line level converter (LLC) IMO it sounded like poo.. In the old car the alpine gear ran off an alpine headunit and sounded awsome, so I was expecting much of the same.. With the LC6i that I have now, it sounds much better than the LLC, but I miss GOOD bass...

BTW I ended giving the alpine LLC that I bought away....

happy Birthday mate and unlucky about the rock

yep you can get away with an edit for sure but if you are going to do an edit and the rest of the car is essentially stock then jut pickup the generic tune. Without the items listed above dont expect any big numbers but you will still notice a massive difference.

The generic tune is usually a 10PSI or 8PSI (depending on which you ask for) tune which should see you jump from approx 200-205rwkw (stock) to about 240-250rwkw on the 10PSI tune (see my sig for an example). If your mate doesn't already have one, purchase a SNIPER or CAPA Flash Tuning box and this will come with the tunes on it. Costs about $630 in WA and you can walk out the door without needing anything else. I recommend the SNIPER.

I personally wouldn't go much further than that until you do the springs. The stock Injectors wont be able to go much beyond that anyway...my stock injectors are about 5-10kw away from being maxed out.

hey ppl. just got my first xr6t last night im happy altho aint a v8 that im used to im liken it. picked up for a good price due to being mates car has all the goodies leather premium sound tft screen. its got the aftermarket bov didnt hook it up over that stuff but just goin to put my subs in it n I thnk that's all I will do to it until I get the power bug bite lol

I notice that the premium sound has a amp for the 10 sub that come with. when I go to hook up mine can I just rip the facotry amp out hook up my own on the facotry wires or do I have to rewire the hole lot??

I will get some pics soon for ya's

In ragards to your sub issue I recommend running a new heavy duty line back to the battery, grab yourself a descent amp,not using existing factory parts (if you want real bass that is) :)
