I think with the FG it would be an easier job as the new falcon uses the same set up.

Similar, but most of the bits are different and the geometry is different to match the lower ride height, and the steering setup is new too. The problem is fitting the front diff, and now that the FG has a rear mounted sump that is at the opposite end to the Territory, it would be a hassle.

How long is a piece of string? If a tree falls in the woods and theres nobody around did it really fall? How deep are your pockets?

If you got the cash and the know how I say go for it.

I would just buy a WRX! cos its been engineered for that purpose.

RWD XR6T- love it wouldnt want to change it.

Coming up 8 years of the turbo Falcon, and no workshop (let alone a solo punter) has seen fit to pour that much money into developing an AWD Falcon, except Ford themselves in using it as a mule for the Territory gear as mentioned.

There's a reason for that folks- because it's not bloody worth it, plain and simple. Want AWD? Buy one.

Once upon a time in 2004..

Granted, it would be a huge project, but a damn interesting one. Packaging it all successfully in a B or ever F Series bodyshell would be a challenge. It wouldnt be the first all wheel drive Falcon done.. There was an XF fitted with Ferguson four wheel drive mechanicals that featured on the cover of Modern Motor magazine years ago (probably when most of you guys were still in nappies), doing a burnout on a gravel surface, all four wheels spinning... that particular car ended up back in the UK..

It would be a great equaliser to give the current crop of EVO's and STI's a real shock.. The old Territory does a good enough job on 15lb and a set of Deka's at present... Now, how to figure out how to make this Frankensteins machine turn in... Hmm..

Dont knock the dream, boys!!
