Did members that have modded up their BF Mark II XR6Ts still need to upgrade their valve springs and actuator or were these strengthend at the factory by the time the BF Mark II came along.

Also has anyone actualy confirmed with Ford that after June 2006 the BF XR6T came out with the Phoon rods or is this still just a myth...

Based solely on the number of posts I have seen regarding this matter, I believe the answer is yes to both; the springs are stronger and the rods are from the F6. In other words, the BFII is one tough motor.

Others will post in reply with first-hand knowledge, I'm sure of that!

I have enquired at Ford about this using conrod part numbers for XR6T and F6. All BF1's dated May06 and onwards will have F6 rods.
