...or you could just ignore a reputable tuner's qualified judgment and use what you like.

I think we all need a few chill pills. Paul has stated in his opinion the 968's are better quality and are better to tune with as far as he is concerned.

Why does he have anything to prove?

The last test was sabotaged because it wasn't in the best interests of some people. Plain and simple.

As for what's being claimed here, it needs to be backed up. I'm not disagreeing with it at all. I just don't know. But like I said, you would have thought Elite, or anyone of the myriad of alliance members who believes the Deka display certain characteristics would have done tests to prove it to themselves.

If I started a thread that said "Nizpro's New Intercooler Sucks" and made claims that it performs terribly with me loosing horsepower over the Plazmaman cooler I had previously installed, I would be asked to prove it with some numbers. If I couldn't offer any, it would be considered bollocks. But if a tuner said the same thing, it would be taken as gospel. His opinion holds a lot of weight and influence. So because of this "power" and "authority", the expert has more responsibility to prove his claims. Not less. That would be illogical.

So back on the matter. We have established that tuners had certain issues with tuning them in the early days. Scaling was a problem down low. Fatsex actually gave us a the reason and solution. So it seems that the problem was not in the injector, but actually a software issue. In that situation we can see how people would blame the injector when in reality, it was actually an issue with the software.

So the 2 main things being stated about the Dekas are:

1. Poor fuel economy

2. Inconsistent flow between injectors

Poor fuel economy does not seem to be the case by the evidence people have stated in this thread. Inconsistency between sets? We need to test that one and that's not a hard to do. If they fall within the +/- 5% the factory claims, they are good to go.

So, does anyone know the factory claimed flow variance on non flow-matched Green Giants?

Black and White.

If your cousin wasnt running a group buy on Dekas you wouldnt care....

Dags that's crap mate. You've been on these forums for too long and are sour!

Some people have their own opinions and are willing to voice them. My cousin and I don't need to agree on everything anyway. Our alliance goes much deeper than that.

BTW, I can get Bosch 968's for a ripper price. Great injector too if you dont want more than the mid 300 rwkw. Anyone want some PM me. I'd try a group buy but I don't think it we go through :)

Straughsberry, I agree 100% with your comments. You are in the right here IMHO.

Your arguments are well thought out and logical.....unlike some others.

This is just going round in circles and it's not really a big deal.

It's your car uses, whatever injectors (and other parts) you want.
