One of the bigest faults with dekkas is the consitancy from injector to injector

Hence there lies the problem . one cylinder might be conpemcating another cylinder.

Then things arent as smooth and so on... Its the way they are.

Its like cars Cheap car is usually poor build quality....no difference with injectors.

Interesting comments. The guy I buy the Siemens from in the States reckons they are one of the most consistent injectors he has ever come across as far as flow between injectors goes. He said the many he has tested have flowed within a few CC of each other. In fact I asked him about flow-matched sets and his opinion was that it's just not worth the extra USD$42 per set. I would have thought he wouldn't mind making more money? Siemens specifies +/-5% flow rate on the 60 pounders. Out of interest, what are the 968's rated at?

Now I'm not saying this isn't what you have experienced, but these opinions are polarised!

Ask yourself this.

1. why do the majority of tuners at a seminar bag a particular injector.

2. Wouldnt someone from the states selling you something tell you what you want to hear.

Keep in mind also I have wholesalers offering me these injectors cheap all the time.

I have not once bought a set.....why do you think?

Have you tuned a car on the Dekas then? Have the tuners at the seminar tuned many cars with them? I do not know, and not trying to put any tuner down, but... it is easy to bag the injector as the culprit, maybe the tuners have not spent enough time trying to make them work?

Paul you obviously have the experience and know-how over me hands down. But you are making a fairly big statement. And while I'm not saying you are wrong by any means, I'd personally would like to see some concrete evidence supporting what you say before I believe it.

That "someone" from the States declined to make money from me on flow matched sets because he has that much confidence in the injectors quality and flow consistency. Now using your own line of reasoning, I ask you, why would he do that?

Yes I your point.

Mick (pitlane) was at the same Nizpro seminar as I was. The last one. I think Brett from APE has done exactly that. Tested flow rates and consistancy. I dont have those facilities here and would have to pay someone to prove something I already know.

When making fine adjustment to injector scaling within the software Dekkas make dramatic changes. While 968's are far more precise. I am not saying Dekkas dont work. Just that 968's work much better especially at light throttle where fuel economy is determined by precise delivery.
