If you want all the trimmings go the Force 6. It has an awesome interior and the same driveline combo in as a Phoon without the boy racer look.

the downside:People will think you are a grandpa ( if they notice you)

Its a Farimont Ghia on steroids!

If you want that boy racer look with the big rear spoiler go the phoon.

The downside: People will think you are a cashed up bogan who thinks he is Dick Johnson.

You can laugh them off as you leave them behind at the lights whichever way you go mate! Lol

On a more serious note:

The Force 6 is a real nice car. The only thing that worries me is this.

It didn't sell that well in the new car market, so how much demand will there be for one in 5 years in the second hand market when you are trying to get rid of it?

For that reason I would pick the Typhoon!

I would go the force. As far as being an old mans car goes, I dont see any old men driving those weapons. Vision would be a blur. They are sophisticated, sleek, unexpecting and very original. Sux to the fool who trys to drag one on that basis and then find out its 400kw. Dont see 2 many like that and would like 2. And they are not so different to the phoon anyhow. One off.

which hence begs the question on how well the G6E Turbo will go ? Personally, my gut feel says it will be an absolute winner and pull in many Exec types who want the prestigous looks and trimmings but with a bit of real world get up and go.

Perfect shot across the boughs to some of the nancy boy models from BMW and Merc, which whilst they are very well built cars, they are still primarily expensive nuggets until you get into some of the M or AMG series cars

I hope it does well mate, but if the past is any indicator of the future it might not sell as well as expected.

The thing the G6E T has going for it is that it is going to be quite a bit cheaper ( it must be about 15K cheaper is it) than the Force 6 and will be great value for money comparitively.

This may further damage the secondhand market for the older Force 6.

In 2012, on the second hand market who would buy an 2005 model Force 6 over a 2009 G6ET if they were the same price? Time will tell I suppose but I reckon it will be a hell of a lot easier to move an old 'phoon.

I think this will be a major seller and a damned good reason to buy for resale value - a pretty big deal when you consider the depreciation on XR6T/Typhoons

I would normally agree, however this Force6 is apparently $41K with just 14,000k's on it. Assuming its a 2006, that means its dropped $30K in value in 2 years

Whats it going to be like after another 2 year??

You may well be right, the only real POD is the Force 6 will be rarer and will have an element of exclusivity. That said for 41k I say buy the farker

If he doesn't I will

Go the Force mate.

I bought one a few months back for the missus (and she has already worked over 4 rex's and a couple of Holdens Shiitest Vehicles). Got it at a good price. Great car. Great style. Doesn't draw any attention.

The luxo's are great too. Memory seats, reverse sensing (stops the wife from running me ute over) bloody fast.

Anyway I have had plenty of Fords and I think the Force 6 is one of the best ever made.

The second you buy a car it depreciates. You will lose money reguardless.

Yeah so why not minimize your loss by buying a car you will suffer less depreciation.
