Thought this would interest Iconic Bionic, who believes the law is very important as well as others on here who are sick to death of being bombarded with "wipe off 5" rubbish.

Thanks dude, but I dont care too much what happens in Victoria.

Anyway, we have speeding bus drivers doing the same thing and everytime there caught out by our speed cameras up here, they have been waived for some years now. I do, however, have more of an issue with large heavy vehicles carrying 50 passengers or more speeding along then highly trained police drivers, in new model performance vehicles.

I don't think the speed detailed here is THAT bigger deal. If 37km/h over the limit (I know it was a 50 zone) is the absolute most any police officer has been caught at, it’s not THAT much.

It's the drink driving that is the major issue here - .232 is massive! For anyone to even think about getting in a car at that stage – especially an officer is just ridiculous. I hope they lost their licence and job for it – because if anyone should know better, it’s definitely them. They have obviously never scrapped anyone up off the road….

In everything there are going to be anomalies. Those stats aren't bad at all. If that's the worst they've dug up over the last 5 years, I think they're doing just fine.

Very often I see police speed, usually up to 10kmh over the limit few times around 20. The reason I know is that if I see a police car speed without lights or sirens I always keep up.

Sorry officer, my speedo is playing up I just thought I'd follow you as you must be driving within the speed limit lol.

How extensive is their driver training though?

I'm sure it varies throughout the states.

Beautiful sidestep mate :buttrock:

I'm sure Victorian Cops aren't the only ones.
