I'm due to get mine out and after seein the X-rays and the look on the dentists face after he saw the X-rays I don't think I want to get them out! He reckons he'll have to go to the gym for a month before he has a crack at them because the roots are nearly up to my eyes.

I had one removed in the chair..

Was told how much it was gonna hurt etc so I was fairly anxious to say the least!

Was a bit sore for a few hours after (mouth was bruised from where he nailed me with his hands..) but was fine for work the next day :(

Got one pulled whilst in the Army, the dentist rocked up with a needle, I rolled up my sleeve, he looked at me and laughed and said no mate thsi is for your mouth. I replied you are f*cking joking are you not. Four needles later in my moutrh and me extremely pissed off, I had one pulled and refused to ever get another one done again. I like my wisdom teeth where they are thanks.

I got all 4 of mine out last Monday. Awake in the chair. The top ones just popped out, one of the lower ones took 3 go's to get it out, I thought he was going to break my jaw he was reefing on it so hard..... He must of cut it into pieces? The top ones were through, but the lower two were still under the gum.

Went home, went to sleep and woke up to the mrs wiping blood off the side of my face.... I dribble a bit in my sleep. Had 2 days off work and was in a bit of pain, turns out I wasnt prescribed pain killers, just some Voltaren to take once every 8 hours to reduce swelling... Doh!

Down to the GP to get some Panadiene Forte

Gotta get the stiches out next week I think...

The mrs gets hers out in a months time, but she is going to be asleep. I think she is getting a dental surgeon to remove hers.

I've had 3 out

All in the dentist chair at different times

Top tooth pulled straight out with pliers no worries

Bottom two were growing horizontally so they had to cut the gum, then cut the tooth into 4 pieces. This was the only way to do it

Each time took over 2 hrs, it felt like I had lock jaw by the end of it <_<

Got all 4 of mine out.

I didnt go under general or local, it was something called intravenous injection or something.

basically they control how much they inject in you, and basically you fall asleep and have no idea about the proceedure.

I went to a dental surgeon for the proceedure aye cost me a bit, but was covered under insurance!

The thing with the intravenous injection is that recovery is a lot faster. got them pullled on a thurs afternoon, by the next morning I was up and doing stuff. was a tad swollen but what do you expect right!

The only other thing you may have to worry about is dumb stuff you may say to people after the proceedure..... but then again a lot of us around here dont need any proceedures as a means of saying dumb stuff right! LOL

get them done sooner than later. I am 23, but the doc said the longer I leave them the harder they are to get out

had 5 teeth pulled out about 6 years ago, was in the chair, dentist did 3 and asked me if I wanted to keep going and I said yer just do it (the best I could with a tampon in my mouth haha). On the drive home, had mum an dad in the car, still had the gauze in my mouth so I couldnt really swollow properlly gums were pissin out with blood, and cos my cheek was all numb I kept biting it and when the numbness wore off my god did I get the shock of my life my face was all bruised, looked like id been bashed. Feels gross having gaps in your teeth. Was soooo sore for the next week and had it all off school which was a bonus. Next will be the wisdom teeth but that will be in hospital no way im goin in the chair again.

And with tonsils, I was really young but I was in hospital for about 4 days afterwards, now ive heard of people getting out pretty much as soon as they wake up
