I've just had the most excruciating two days of my life, and it's time for the little buggers to go!

I'd really like to know who's had their wisdom teeth pulled, and how you got it done. ie: hospital or dentists' chair, full general anesthetic, local anesthetic,

or local and drugs (been offered Valium, thinking I'll take him up on the offer  ) and what your experience was like.

Cheers guys

Dan

I've got all mine sitting in my mouth. One is getting a small cavity. Dunno if they can fill that or maybe I might have to get them pulled, but I don't want to. They haven't moved my teeth at all.

Aparently if you're awake it's pretty full on.

I had all 4 of mine surgically removed under full anaesthetic.

It cost a fortune because I needed it done straight away so private was the only way to go. I'd be happy to pay it all over again! Mine started to hurt over a weekend. Saturday was a normal day, but by Sunday morning I was in a lot of pain!

I had problems with the clots holding and I got an infection which made me look like I had a 100 packs worth of gum in my mouth. But the pain was gone.

When I woke up from the anaesthetic I felt like a million bucks! An hour later I felt more like 50 cents.

had all 4 out in hospital under general anaesthetic.

whatever was in the injection they gave me had me pain free for about 8 hours

the whole expearience wasnt that bad, not as bad as I thought it would be anyway...

if you have painkillers you'll be fine, they only gave me panadeine forte after I had mine out and they did the job..

Mr Man, were you 'out' or just pain free?? my impressions were that the anesthesiologist would give you enough to knock you out, rather than just be pain free...

Yeah I had all mine out under general, completely knocked out.

On Panadeine Forte for the next few days, not as bad as I'd thought it'd be.

I recommend going under general.

Hook yourself up an icy pole from the nurse when you wake up too.
