Got to see the adds tonight at a dealer launch and must say that they are different and I would rate all right although my wife liked them even more then I did which from a marketing point of view is pretty good because they have a large influence in the decision making.

Technically the cars aren't officially on sale till Monday, so they didn't want to advertise a car they officially couldn't sell, and they are also waiting till they get demos into the dealers for people to look at and drive if they see them on TV and decide to have a look. No point advertising a car that you can't actually look at or drive yet.

Maybe to build up some suspence. Get people excited about the release of a new falcon. People would have already put orders in without seeing it just like the FPV. I spoke to a mate of my dads today and he didn't even know they were releasing one. He is in the market for a new car he will wait to see the falcon when its released (ford owes me). Just goes to show you not everyone looks on the net to see when ford releases a new model.

They're still trying to get rid of old stock. There's runout adverts on the radio up here so having ads for the new model running at the same time would be counter productive I'd imagine.

Better to advertise when stock is in and people can see the ads and go in and see the car, rather then advertise early and customer loses their hype by the time they get to see the car in the showroom so less chance for an impulse buy.

I am speechless. Hop on the Ford website and view the 45c and 30s XR ads.

Fairy music

Walking fingers

Not a hint of humor or masculinity. No appeals to males. Indeed we see a woman's face more than a man's.

Pathetic.

They’re not that bad. They are obviously trying to appeal to a more refined audience, has a bit of a "what the" at the start to keep you watching.

Ford don’t need their advertising to appeal to rev-head bogans; they are all already aware of the new model through internet forums etc. :roflmbo:
