I used a wire brush and some sand paper to clean up the calipers and then painted with a high temp clear finish. I also replaced the drivers side hub/bearing assembly as it had a very small amount of play in it and had a very slight noise. I have a front end grinding noise on hard left turns so this may have been the cause.

Your front brakes show the same burn marks as mine are showing now. So I'm definitely going to do this soon too.Just need to find out which rotors will work with the stock BF callipers. Luckily for you, your going from a ~290mm to a 330mm rotor so your also getting a much bigger looking rotor. I'm starting with a 320mm front rotor so everything else basically looks the same size, and I want nice big front rotors :(

The best value upgrade I have seen was a 2 piece 355mm disk with PBR 'premium' calipers (they said they were C5's). This was a little under $2k from Sydney race brakes. There is some photos on this forum somewhere. Yeah the burn marks are only recent, but I cooked them a few times pretty bad. According to their site there isn't a kit for the BA/BF yet on EBAY last night I found this little interesting item...http://cgi.ebay.com.au/DBA-5000-SLOTTED-DI...1QQcmdZViewItemoh and I just saw its the same shop you were talking about I think. But I would need to change my callipers to use those rotors wouldn't I... like you also said

Lifetime Members 7,935 Member For: 20y 9m 13d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 06/05/08 03:30 AM Share Posted 06/05/08 03:30 AM $500 a side for DBA5000's is a standard price.I am looking at this for an upgrade as my rotors have a 2+mm lip in only 25,000km.Hoping there is enough meat to machine the rotors to last another pad change. Might have to buy or make a small spacer to get the 245 to fit temporarily if I did pop one.Youngy and I have some 17's with MT's but they are at his so maybe next week I'll chuck one on and see if it fits for you guys.
