Its teh only logical way they are gtting so much more poke of the line. Some one mentioned that the FG's 1/4 mile times arnt much quicker than the BF'S, Im assuming they meant The Typhoon? Because I dont remeber seeing a stock BF xr6t pull off a 13.3. Correct me if Im wrong did any stock typhoons do that?

You have to remember FORD will have tuned and built this car with a massive reliablity buffer. I was told that ford were running much higher kw's than 270... but had to drop them bellow the 290kw as that was the XR8.I would imagine a tune, exhaust and Intake system would give you 270-300rwkw's no trouble on an FG.I think the only time we will find the smaller compressor a burden is when we want to run really high boost.... which would be givin you well over 300rwkw's anyway...I personally am happy with the car stock but I think 270rwkw's would be fantastic. I ran on memory re the 100 octane. It must have been their mention of "racing fuel" that made me think that way. So OK, they are more or less back to real world figures. I've only heard of high 13's being achieved with the T in stock form.

Same Kw's different torque.... I would have to say ( As a guess) I think rolling acceleration will be better on the FG as there is less lag (Typhoon had a bit of lag). As a 10psi generic tune of a BF will net you 300+fwkw. as much as 330fwkw.Someone else mentioned will the first bottle neck in modding be the injectors??? my answer is certainly yes. I doubt they would have changed the injectors on the FG. neither the fuel pump IMHO, as their is no need to at this power level. The modding path will be same as BF, except the overall limit will be a little lower with the smaller turbo. Its stands at 370rwkw on 98 fuel @ 15-17psi on a BF. Which is totally unsurprising as we have a 650hp turbo currrently. As soon as we see the turbo spec, the new fwhp limit will be same as this new turbo flow limit. simple. The F6's are different again from the XRT.Fuel economy has been a big priority for the FG, turbo included, so although they used more boost to make 270kw its been because they needed too as power would have been lower otherwise because of the need for better economy, the new cylinder heads for example, have one inlet port lower than the other to create tumble, which is better for economy, but not power. Extra boost brings the power back up.
