Guest Guests Posted 01/05/08 10:32 PM Share Posted 01/05/08 10:32 PM my tyre guy says I would need 8.5" rims to run 265's.He's a Ford man and I trust his judgement so I stuck with 245's

Does anyone know if I can go bigger in the rears to like 255 or 265?
groper Member 611 Member For: 18y 5d Posted 01/05/08 11:37 PM Share Posted 01/05/08 11:37 PM you CAN go bigger as anyone can, like was said before, you CAN put 275`s on them. But stuff that for a daily driven tyre... it wont ride or wear correctly, and it wont handle as well around corners etc...if your rims are still 8" wide, then I would stick with 245`s regardless of your rim diameter otherwise the tyre wall is too far from perpandicular to the road and looses its stiffness accordingly. You cannot find a sticky tyre that does not wear quick.I like my Yokie Advan v103's and they have lasted for 20,000km which is great wear for my style of driving.
