I checked out the FG's last week and don't like them aesthetically. I was looking at the XR6T or the G6E-T (or whatever its bl**dy name is) but just don't like too much. Don't hang me for that, that's just me. Now, when I drive one, I may get over it, we'll see. However, the Ford dealer that I am talking to has apparently bought 25x 2008 FPV Typhoon's and suggested that this may be an alternative option. What are the thoughts of anyone who's done a similar changeover?(Senna, don't kill me :banghead: )Lightning.... What the might want to ask Senna if he can see on the system if this is correct... Maybe one or two, but I couldn't imagine 25....Also "I'm" not sure if there ever was a 2008 Typhoon - all the RSpecs that I knew existed were 2007 and RSpec's...Is the dealer referring to the 2008 Typhoon as the 'NEW FG' model? Anyways having said all this thing, which I admit I dont know... If it was me (as I did) I went with the BFII.... RSpec.... Looks tough compared to the FG, specs (at the time of buy) appeared to be so close it didnt make much difference... The RSpec being only 300 limited builds - yeah a few of the guys here will say that it isnt worth it... but well again personal choice...And well if your like me and as your current car is only a few years old and intend to change over in a few years again.... I'd go hard on a buy price on the BFII - then once the FG has proven its self and the second series or later has come out look to the FG then....that's my plan anyways....Not a fan of a number of things on the FG, however sure they will grow on me...I will bet you the dealer will talk discount and a good deal on the BFII as they know the FG is here, and FPV only a month away - they will need to off load all the BFII ASAP...Good luck, either way im sure you will be happy! I bought myself a BF MKII typhoon Rspec and haven't looked back. Personally I like the look of the BF MKII over the FG any day (the FG looks like a japanese Late model camira ). Maybe the FPVs will looks better in the flesh. If your worried about the handling in the BFget the Rspec and if power is a concern then a few minor mods and you'll be running similar times to the FG.Personally I would never buy a MKI - wait for the bugs to be ironed out!Cheers. Lightning Member 335 Member For: 21y 11m 11d Location: Perth, Western Australia Posted 01/05/08 08:29 AM Author Share Posted 01/05/08 08:29 AM Thanks for the comments guys, all taken on board. Yeah, I like the new ICC in the FG's too, but you can't win 'em all!To smickey, he definately said 25x 2008 BF Typhoon F6's (he is the CEO of a dealer group, not just a single yard, so...). Don't think he'd fib to me (no reason to), but who knows? Anyway, time will tell! We'll see what happens. Depends on whether they have one with the options I want, the colour etc.Lightning.... I'm sure they would do a good deal on it. The R Spec must be getting few and far between now and even if they don't have much extra monetry value at sale time they do have a few xtra comforts and bits and pieces. Do yourself a favour and wait a month or so in order to test drive the FG Series. I know you will quickly change your mind. I won't be waiting to test drive the F6 as I think the G6ET is perfect for me. All it needs is lowering and a Tune, oh and those optional 19's.
