No silly the passion pop :buttrock:

Some clown had some at a party a few months back, tried drinking it but couldn't. Just the smell is enough to make me dry reach.

Don't blame the GovCo on this issue.

Blame those little f*cking turds who decide to bash and kill/stab people every weekend in the CBD.

They're the one's who have ruined it for the good folk who enjoy wetting the whistle. Wonder how well the 2am lockout will work though. If you can't handle alcohol, don't drink.

:)

nope I still blame the govt - if they had anything resembling a clue they would triple/quadruple/octupletise the penalties for alcohol related violence AND show no leniency if the person happens to be of non-caucasion decent as per their normal slap on the wrist tactics...

young drinkers who kill/stab people are not really gonna be fussed by spending another $20 or so on a carton - they'll just steal a bit more cash or mug an extra person to make up the difference

Punishing every single member of the community is not the answer.

perhaps if

  • the bottle shops and clubs took responsibility and actually asked for and checked ID properly
  • parents could supervise the curious teen drinking at home without a backlash
  • newly "heroed" 18 year olds did not buy for underage
  • advertising the "coolness" of alcohol was stopped
  • "under aged" could NOT access alcohol (or hooch or pingers etc etc ) so easily in the first place the situation would not have escalated :bangcomputer:

would rather spend my $$$ on 98 ron

PC Parents can supervise children having a drink, unless I am missinformed a child above 12 can have an alcoholic beverage at a resturant with a meal and a guardian there to supervise, I know my Daughters have. The problem is f*cking ignorance and peer pressure.

I am with whoever suggested harse penalties for those that f*ck up, I almost killed people on sveral occassions on the piss and was very fortunate that my life did not go in a completely different direction.

I agree with these words entirely. Up the punishments and make people pay for their antics. If you're going to get 2 years of your life taken off you for a repeat offence, it will deter much of the bullsh*t. First offence would have to be lesser, but harsher penalties would open a few eyes no doubt. You'll never get close to cutting it out, but better is better.

It won't happen unfortunatly. Governments (particularly Labour) only know how to tax, not fix.

Their solution to a lack of driver education and road safety is to lower speed limits so they can increase fine revenues. So of course they're just going to tax alcohol rather than actually deal with the real issues.

Agreed.

The Social issues have been riased to mask a tax increase.

Young people are drinking themselves to death!

Raise taxes to solve the problem!

Question the solution and by implication you support young people drinking themselves to death.

Same with speeding ect ect

Every time these Fuktards come up with a new "problem" they use it as an excuse to slip in more legislation and slip in more taxes,

just you watch; Global warming..? lets raise the taxes on electricity, petrol, cars, appliances...ect to discourage thier use,

wow aren't we socially responsible!

(meanwhile the profits from these taxes gut pumped straight back to the unions to repay them for getting labor in, like wow, and that's not going to cause inflation??)
