Ok, need some help deciding between the two consoles. I've had the PS2 for many years, but just want something new, and want to know the differences between the two.

As far as I can see, the 360 will be fine, and I can't see any benefit of going the PS3 except for GT5, which is a big draw, but not sure if it's worth the extra coin.

So, who's got what, and what's the best things about them???

Cheers

Dan

360 hands down :) reason being is because they're awesome and you can't beat things like COD4 or halo 3 on live.

Oh and I can't for tomorrow, GTA 4@@@@@@@@@

Either one is pretty good, personally I have a 360. They have a bigger range of games, and apparently the online gaming is really good. Although I don't play online, I probably should give it a go, but then I'd probably never get off it!

If you go the 360, make sure you go for the newer version with the HDMI port, even if you don't have a HDTV. From what I can gather, they're better and less prone to the red ring of death and over heating issues. Unfortunately I got one of the first versions, but touch wood I've had no issues. I might upgrade in the near future though.

PS3.......hands down.

xbox break all the time, my mates had 3 and is selling his last one for a PS3.

And PS3 is blu ray which is insane so the game quality is better again, and you get the blu ray, and just wait untile you watch a blu ray movie, you cant beat that along.

I own them both and sell them both.

PS3 HANDS DOWN lol for one main reason.... Its a blueray player before anything else. The gaming and multimedia is just a bonus. If you were to buy a good Blueray player you would be spending at least $700 which is what you can pick up a PS3 for now with GT5 which is full HD.

XBOX are very nice dont get me wrong but I return more than half I sell due to hard drive failure and their customer support is pathetic. If you cant have both PS3 has to be your choice. Its like saying if money wasnt the issue would you rather a T or a Phoon. The difference in quality of the product really is that great.

I have a 360 and am happy with it. it sits on for ages and I havent had a heating issues. there is forza2 as a racing sim, and that is heaps of fun (havent played gt5).

the xbl multiplayer is great fun, many hours spent on halo3 and cod4..

no built in HD drive but I dont buy movies anyway and you can stream HD content to the 360 via wmp11. works well for me as a games machine and media player.

play em both and you choose!
