Oops.

Silly me was not being very careful when removing the cross over piping and broke the vacuum pipe off!! Also noticed that most of the rubber stopper gizmos were broken too.

Also over tightened the other little pipe on the throttle side but that does not really do much. Anyone know what that one is/does?

BA9W680A is the P/N for the rubber cross over mounts. About $13 bucks each I think. Sounds like your talking about the PCV pipe?

Don't know, it runs very close to the throttle body. It goes between the cross over pipe and the engine.

When I got the car it was broken, no idea how long for. When I t took it to ford to get repaired, they did not seem concerned about it.

It pumps oil vapour from your crankcase back into the intake system to be re burnt. So in effect, your sucking it un filtered air at the moment as this is after the air filter. Your also pumping out oil vapour/oil into your engine bay. And possibly sucking in dust into your engine... Im sure the 16yo work experience kid at Ford didnt know what it was either.

I would be quite concerned with it broken and would get it fixed ASAP.

I also broke that bit PHW, and ford wanted a mint for a new one, in the region of $60 iirc. perhaps ring your nearest tune shop as anyone who has got a new plenum should have one laying around. got mine for a sixer of bundy.

Yikes, don't like the sound of that. It's getting fixed tomorrow, at ford.

My experience with tuners in town has made me believe they would struggle to tune a lawn mower let alone one of these babies.

So what is the vacuum pipe sucking up?

Finally got those bits fixed today, the oil pipe cost $15.43 :buttrock: it's part number BA9V684A.

Yep, I had broken the PCV pipe as well, it was part number AUC6A666A and cost $9.60. Also needed and elbow joiner which was $2.50.

The cross over mounts were $12.77 spot on Hanra.

Cost $100 in labour though.

Anyway it drives much better now and I feel much better driving around, was starting to get worried about it.

You can get specific F6 plugs from ford spares or auto stores, they are about $15 a pop but are better plugs and already have a 0.8-0.9 gap

Is Ford part # AGSP22YE09 the correct genuine plug for the BF F6 Typhoon?

Cheers
