Heya guys,

I am considering buying a Phoon. Not new something with maybe 30-40k on it going for low 40s. I currently have a BA with around 330rwkw (with 3" zorst and std bottom end) and if I spend another 6-7k Ill be pushing around 400rwkw... I love my car and enjoy it everytime I drive it. Its fast, its manual and it is a sleeper. However, I get goose bumps when ever I see a Phoon. I love the look of them they are by far one of my favorite cars on the road.

I could get around 25k private and maybe 20 trade on my car and my question is, would it be money well spent to go to a Phoon for an extra 20-25k? I would loose all the mods and basially have a nice factory car. To get a Phoon to where my car is I would be spending another 9k at least on maybe a Nizpro stage 2.

I am not asking for anyone to make my decision for me but I would love to hear some opnions. I have thought about it for a long time and money really isnt the issue, but would it be well enough spent to justify the choice of going to a Phoon?

Thanks :)

Hey wingnut, dont sell it , just get a bodykit... You'll look like a phoon and still be able to smoke almost anything on the road...

that's what I would do...

Do it!

I've hopped outta mine into an XR6t a few times over the past few weeks and I dunno what it is but they feel totally different! I'm sure it's all in my head, but in your case it comes down to looks vs power. Which one do you want?

I can tell ya, there ain't that many phoons around...

why don't you just strip the go fast bits off this one and put it into the Phoon?

Ultimately it is your decision, but you should consider how long you would keep this car, and also if you get the Phoon, how long would you keep that for? This might make it easier to work out how cost effective each choice is

Haha thanks mate. The other option is like you said spend some more cash on it and turn it into a monster. If I changed the exterior it sould be a set of rims that's it. But like I said it only need a set of rods and a big zorst to go to 400s. Its pretty much sorted everywhere else.

I guess that's the question then, is there a 20k different between a Phoon and T? If not then theres my answer

You car is a full sleeper, and I assume you like that, if you got a phoon throw that outta the window as most people know they are quick, and if they dont they'll find out..

I think you pulled up at the e-hills lights last night against my beast.. you were in the 'bonus lane' & for some reason you passed me?

2 options:

1. spend cash on your current car = all money down the drain

2. spend every more to upgrade to a phoon = lose all money on your current car (incl. terrible resale value) & any more you put into the new one.

Hard choice...

You could always get a jetson's mobile?

Putting a kit one the car will not make it a F6.

As Senna mentioned, strip the gofast bits and put your car back to stock. Then pickup a F6 and never look back.

My XR6T was a dog, but the BF F6 is a totally different car. My dealer also treats me better and the car is not common.

I can drive around all week and I would be lucky to see another F6. If you wait a few more months when the FG F6 comes out, you might find the BF's even cheaper
