ashmo - im with senna T on this one.

Had finance on my old car (leased) and had the dealer and the old finance company fighting on the prices... Ended up going with Ford Credit via the dealership... despite advising and showing a loss on the deal for the finance they still wouldnt let the other guys win... I was very happy in the end and went with the yards deal...

Contract was far more straight forward also...

If your a little unsure on a few things just get someone that's in the know to read over the offers before hand...

Also as your a bit younger and its going to be a larger value then the 12k on the current loan, might be worth paying a deposit 'in good faith' just to get them a little 'wet and on your side'... and check out loan protection/gap insurance for something of this value - prob cost u a little extra, but just in case you run into trouble ie - write off, loss of job etc it will cover the gap for you.

Good luck with it - and if and when you get it let the rest of us know!!!

:kiss::bangin:

When I was 23 they knocked me back for a $30,000 loan to buy an R33 GT-R :bangcomputer: even if I put my house against it, but they gave me over $60,000 to buy a brand new F6. Go figure...

I heard this from 12, yes 12 lenders... 'I'm sorry sir, we don't lend money for Nissan Skylines...'

thanks for the input guys its making me feel better :bangcomputer: only time will tell I guess.

Smicky your totally right loan insurance is something I will not go without especially on a 45 odd k loan. Even if it costs a couple of thousand its worth it.

R-spec I wouldnt be surprised as they probably think the gtr is to powerful lol... Yet you landed a typhoon haha.

I am also a less than desirable applicant due to an issue I had with a phone bill when I was around 20. $145 bill that wasnt paid due to moving state wiped me out for 5 years..... Get less for murder lol

Anyway I got $27k for my T no drama I think I had to pay and extra 1% in interest due to having a less than perfect credit record but my wage wiped out any confusion. If your credit rating is good and you have a stable income (PPT) than it all comes down to outgoing V incoming. Im sure you wont have an issue mate some might say no but if you go through a dealership they will find someone to give you the cash. Its a sale for them so they will be busting your ass to take your money haha

I got a $28,000 loan. I was casual at the time (getting full time work).

And my pay rate was quite pathetic at the time, $12 an hour...

They give money to anyone, the car was valued at $31,000. So as long as they know they can get there money back they're happy. The value of the car is not going to go down as fast as what you pay it off, so they're in a win win situation.

I got the loan through fraud, but I got it at Newcastle Permanent Loan rates.

The only condition was I had to pay full cover on the car for a whole year.
