your car must look like a hoon car Stef.. must be the stripes hehe :P I think they just talked to someone, and I think one of the cops knew someone there? I dunno. I tried to phone you after a few minutes to see the boys in blue were picking on ya, but it said your phone was in use or disconnected or something? weird stuff.

Anyways the cruise was alright I guess, I just got home and I gotta be at work at 7 so I'll be screwed tomorrow :)

I think on the next cruise, if its one of these massively long ones that heads out to whoop whoop at midnight I'll give it a miss. I personally think its way too isolated out there (great roads however if everyone is doing over 120!! ;), you have no damn phone reception (you'd be screwed if something breaks!) and my passengers were falling asleep when we were doing 110 kph on like a 30km long road hehe but you always get bloody rocks flying up at you from the car in front (and yes I was keeping a fair distance from the car ahead most of the time).

The best part of our night was when we all stopped in Toodjay, and my bro had to do a leak (that was probably his best bit too!) and we got split up from you all. I had to drive like 160 kph through the twisties to catch up to you all. My bro and mate could not believe how good the car handled (and me too actually). That Bilstein stuff really works well :P I noticed you were driving a bit slower as all the cars left Aaron to try wait for us (cheers dude), and a big thanks to Keiran for pointing me in the right direction (once again!).

I rekon a real long cruise like that is more suited to a Sunday afternoon or something where you can stop at the end, have a drink at a pub or lunch somewhere, and then drive home feeling like you've accomplished something - other than just putting another 200kms on the cars odometer.

But yeah still was a nice cruise, excuse my bit of negativity, I think I'm just a bit pissed off as my car is now very close to its 45k service hehe

Oh yeah and I took a phone photo of my odometer on 44,444 kms, pretty cool I thought... cant wait for 66,666 kms (spoooky)

OK me go sleep now, gnite all !

was a good map, was great to meet you all finally, had a good catch up run with the other utes and the R32 GTR. As for the mass rut in the road and the little *beep* at kingsway that tried to run us down I think that woke us all up a bit. Hopefully catch up again soon and this time the ute will be fixed (HOPEFULLY lol)

Wasnt that much longer than many local cruises (brookton hwy etc), but perhaps friday night cruises to whoop whoop is pushing it.

First up, apologies to the very ordinary meetpoints (which clearly didnt work that well in that area at night). First one had roadworks and was poorly lit (but nowhere out there has decent lighting), some people found it fine, others didnt and no doubt got pissed off. The Noble Falls one was even worse as the signs werent lit up.

Forgot to include to distance that needed to be travelled on GT Northern too..

So far the negatives outweigh the pro's! Not a good sign!

Still, decent twisty stuff away from the public is getting harder to find so its further out. Some good roads (or else they wouldnt use them for Targa stages!) though! Didn't have any issues with roo's which is always nice to but I took it fairly easy

Suppose I can only put it down to experience. Great if theres a couple of cars who are prepared to drive to get away from public / police and who know the area! Not so great with night time meetpoints!

*waiting for my bro to pick me up for work* cmon dude late your late... hehe

Just re-read my post, please don't take it in a bad way anyone. Cruise was still good, nice roads chosen for the map and was nice seeing everyone again (sorry I didn't come talk to everyone at those few stops - I'm a bit weird when it comes driving on that red gravel, and I hate walking on that crap as it puts all crap on the floor.. I really really hate that stuff with a passion! hehe).

Was really surprised to see the utes and the skyline rock up at that meet point out in whoop whoop, I thought we lost you all.. and a special not to my mate in the Sil80 who (somehow by reading the map in reverse) ended up meeting up with us on that long road back into Perth. I was very shocked to see them heading towards us haha. The drive home with the sil80 was great, it goes pretty good and pops out nice long big flames :D

See you all on the next one maybe :P

thanks heaps for organising mat, I enjoyed the map and didn't have a problem with the meetpoints (cept for the truckstop but that's their fault for not moving the signs to where the new bit of road is!

I'll be on the next one that takes us away from civilisation, sure there are a few roos and the cruises on the highways can be a little dull, but at least you can let your hair down as you leave the meetpoints if you wish.. like we were talking about at maccas, perhaps we should try one early in the morning when its just got light, even just to see how it is.

for a large get together something taking in the local highways is a good idea, and definatly has its place, and I'd come on one for sure..

thanks again for organising mat, I had a ball.

OMG how did you lot get home and post we just went to bed.

Mat the roads were great just that they were dark but top job on giving it a bash. Would be a good one to revisit during daylight.

Would have got some good pics too, these were all that I managed.

map route was ok but directions distances need to be better. stop loads of time "have we passed turn or is it futher"?

how the hell don't ppl know where the truck stop is, leaders got left behind cos majority of ppl didn't stop.

missed a big roo by about 1m at speed, sh*t myself. this is the only down side of heading long way out of the city.

best bit was officer stimpson. worst bit that big arsed hole, its busted open my cat. nothing a hammer and my mig cant fix but still anoying.

oh yeah and if any see amg 2nv please run him off the road.
