Hi,

What if we all agreed to hire out our T's for a set price.. Put together a gallery of our T's and FPV's and location (capital city) and then offer them out for weddings formals... etc etc.

Let the person choose which T's they want in their ensemble of hire cars and we can all agree on a set price.. Just try make them available on the weekends, drive them yourself or ask a mate to drive it if your too busy. Of course all the T's listed must be in immaculate order..

Whichever T they like we use, go for a cruise and get paid...

What are the advantages and pitfalls for such an idea...

Do some marketing.... maybe all contribute a couple of bucks and let the customer choose the T's they want...

The going rate for a wedding car these days is not cheap. If we pooled our resources, we would just about have every colour and model covered many times over...

Maybe someone can buya few sets of the same wheel to use for unifomity, they could also charge out for their wheels to be used...

I say every model and every capital city is covered...

All the T drivers can put something back in their pockets, this will also fuel us to make out T's look a little more bling, and if the club has some sort of exclusivity then maybe even help in our resale values as the cars/model becomes more desirable...

Sounds like a good idea but what about insurance? That's probably a big factor in the high pricing of wedding cars so it probably wouldn't be such a great money maker?

In regards to insurance, I know a few guys doing this already but not XR6 Turbo's. They are still paying their normal insurance just as long as they are still the drivers (depends on your insurer).

Nah taxi insurance if different and costs about 4k.

I think its a great idea ...

I think Tax man might have a thing to say about it

There is of course a few hurdles to get through, but wouldnt you drive you T for a few km to pick up someone, drop them off and have a real good excuse to clean it every week. Not to mention the $500-$1000 in your pocket..

Also if the tax man wants to talk about it, ill buy 22 inch rims, spend $15k on the motor and claim them as a tax deduction as its a capital improvement for my money maker XR6T...

Actually its not a bad idea as you could do up you T, claim all the costs to do it up and then dont take on any jobs and say there is no work out there so no income, so the tax man will owe you...
