hey guys just wanting to know if getting a monza style IC is worth the hassles, because I already have an F6 IC. Also will there be any performance gains at all. At the moment im leaning against keeping it stock as im not planing on upping the boost or getting a tune anytime soon

Just sell the F6 IC, save some more coin and in the mean time run your pipes by a wet piece of paper - will do the same job...

Couldn't agree more, of course P/W, Rapids and Plazma's coolers are going to be a sh*t load better but there is a huge price difference and if your not going for big power I think 3 grand worth of cooler is abit over the top.

There have been lots of guy running wog coolers with over 300..

Whose coolers are 3k?

Have to agree with all the above comments. Although even at 300rwkw the Monza cooler will still cop massive heat soak by the end of the run and your outright power will be limited due to the retardation of the ignition timing.

We tuned a F6 cooler and a Monza cooler equipped car on the same night. Intake temps seen were pretty bad, the Monza cooler faired a bee's dick better, but not enough to justify the expense in changing.

:spoton:

Expect intake temps to rise by 30+ celcius. They should call it a Monza interheater. Would work well in Antarctica.

Full Plazma setup is over, And by the looks of the P/W stage 3 id say it is too. I say the full setup because running their coolers by themselves with factory plumbing would be pointless. You get what you pay for with these kits but if you just want a bit more power say 250rwkw and your engine to flow a bit better I'd say these would be overkill, just my opinion.

pw stage 1 is a very tempting bit of gear ,but my point was if your goin to spend a $1000 on a cooler you really want to do the lot and reduce the tract lenght of all that piping ,the pw stge 2 looks great for someone building up to a full set up but when fitted to standard plenum it looks like it increases the lenght of piping

but in saying that I think the pw stge 1 will be my next purchase because I really cant see myself going over the 330rwkw mark and the standard pipework will do for those levels , and it is one of the best designed bits of gear iv'e seen for the xr

"At the moment im leaning against keeping it stock as im not planing on upping the boost or getting a tune anytime soon"

It really boils down to a $$$=KW ratio doesn't it.
