On a Wednesday night you can get anywhere from 3-7 runs down the 1/4. On a Monday night, I nearly got 20 runs down the 1/4 and that was with dinner in between and leaving before the closure time of 10pmIn contrast, Stacey and I got 50 laps each on Barbagallo Raceway last month over approx 8 hours so that was also good value for money

WRC Kicks Arse Yeah but those mongrels are just psycho suicidal idiots.Don't get me wrong, love rallying but it is just TOO much of a close call on every corner.Have competed in a bit of rallycross and my father was head mechanic for a 3 time ARC champ but nah, wouldn't get me doing it. Very cheap generall like 60-100 bucks for a day.Launching a rwd car on a 30 degree incline is lots of fun too . Alot more skill needed then at the strip to get away cleanly and a good launch on even a 600-700m circuit can mean seconds off the elapsed time. I have a BF2 XR6T ZF Auto with an APS Phase3 kit, AP racing 6pot brake upgrade, Tein coil over suspension kit, Volk 18" forged wheels fitted with semi slicks. Total cost, including buying the car new would be approx $65,000.00. At my last track day at Wakefield I kept up with the best. There was a Lotus Exige and a Porsche GT3 that nobody could catch but you are looking at cars worth well over $120K each. (Also my car has 4 doors and seats 5 whereas these have 2 doors and only seat 2 ;-) As for the other cars. Aston Martin DB7, Mercedes V12 AMG, a recent Mustang, new HSV GTS and assorted STi's etc, etc, they were chasing me. I could easily overtake them on the straight and let them catch up in the twisty bits.I have not broken anything on my car (as yet) and it drives sedately all day if I want it to. There is always something more to do to improve the car but I am very happy with it and for what it can do I dont think the cost has been that much. I think tyres are the biggest ongoing expense but it sure beats a speeding fine and loosing points. (I still have my 12).

This is a Ferrari track day so at any stage there can be upto $5million worth of cars on the track. They generally don't like being passed down the main straight or being absolutely hounded through the corners by a N/A 4 cyl that cost $15,000 to buy.Hehe, can't wait!
