Yep, sounds like I may be on the way to proving your theory mate! Front Right head lamp assembly indicator blew tonight (well it don't turn on) and the remaining 2 right hand indicators (front right quarter panel) and rear blink like double the rate (well - technically it's probably a 1/3 of the rate faster since one of 3 is out).

Gonna research how to replace it but if someone has already done it and can post up a few words of wisdom (about replacing it :roflmbo: ) - would be appreciated

Edit: Had a look at the headlamp assembly in the cool light of day and it's not obvious to me how to get to the indicator lamp (its the drivers side front one in the headlamp assembly). Unless someone who's done it before can give me some hints - prolly time to RTFM :roflmbo:

Okay, looks like I have to turn my front wheels inwards on the side I want to change and undo some screws holding some sort of fender protection. Has anybody done this before and make some suggestions on the best way to do this without fuss - I know I probably don't need to take all the screws off - how many to get he job done? Anything I should be wary of so as not to break as I'm bending the fender protection shield back? Anything that's a bugger to do that has an easy workaround?

Will probably drop by Ford next week and pick up an amber 21W bulb.

:beerchug: for any constructive advice please!

The front bumper is hard to get off on my car - some of the screws were real buggers last time I tried (can't remember what for now). Thanks shp

Got it replaced today - and yep - blinking rate back to normal once the blown globe is replaced

Blown globe

:roflmbo: Ford didn't make that easy for a $2 part :omg:

Just so you know how it was done, didn't follow the manual. Whilst the car was up on a hoist, rather than take the mud guard shield off, apparently there is another shield closer on the engine side and with 2 screws off, the technician could reach in (he had long arms) and could replace the globe that way.
