Not the "flash" you're thinking of.

I would like to know what others think about flashing your light at oncoming traffic to warn about police presence.

Personally I always do it but I don't see to many other drivers doing the same, so I was wondering what other xr6t drivers do/think.

I think in the interests of road safety it is a civil responsibility. After it is slowing drivers down.

Yea mate I warn people if speed cameras are ahead whenever I possibly can. The government take enough money from the people, and IMO the road safety excuse is bullsh*t, its easy revenue raising. But not to get off topic, if we all warned our fellow drivers, Australia would be a better place!

The 5-0 up here have set up a bike copper down the road from the speed camera on several occasions to catch people flashing oncoming cars.

Is there something they can do about it if they do catch you? I mean there are countless excuses ... the guy had he's high beam on so I flashed him, the car in front was driving with he's blinker on, I was saying hi to a friend lol this one worked for my uncle, the car in front had a flat tyre so I wanted to warn him.

Yeah, they'll book you for unnecessary use of high beams... there's no law for warning people of speed cameras, but you can't have your high beams on at all for any period of time, unless it's night and there's no traffic around, and you're not in a built up area.
