hey all,

like to say hi first! I'm new to these forums, from WA. just got myself an 05 BA mk2 turbo :):):)

Brought two things of ebay for it straight up:

4'dump+3.5'cat+2.5 S/S Xforce exhaust

60lb Siemens Deka injectors

im looking for around 300+ rwkw.. on a reliable tune

theres a few things im sketchy on and still dont know which brand to get.. could some of you give me some ideas?

I was thinking just a replacement Air filter (BMC, K&N) will be enough for the CAI

Going to have valve springs done by the tuner when everything is on the car (simon @ XFT)

And I was thinking a straight fit intercooler upgrade... like them monza ones.. I just really want it to reduce temps a lil... any ideas?

ohh and fuel pumps? ive been told the walbro GSS344's??? are the best?

This setup should deliver me over 300rwkw... once its been tuned etc?

cheers guys

Hi Jeremy. Welcome to the Forums. Look at my signature and you will se what mods give what power. Simon at XTF did all the fitment and tuning. Hope you are enjoying your car. Process West and Plazmaman (forum sponsors) gear is all good value and well designed and made.

dont get the monza cooler, 300rwkw is at the upper limit for this cooler (its more suited to lightly modified T's) take your pic between the plazmaman, process west or rapid systems intercoolers they will beter suit your needs and will stick with you for future upgrades (because they will come)

Straight up, great choice in tuners, as Simon has weaved some magic on alot of us people's cars from Perth.

Process West, Kevin, does some great work and I'm more than happy to recommend his products. K&N filters seem to be the go with alot of people here but it does pay to shop around for a good price and keep an eye out for the group buys thread and for sale one.

Cheers

I would fit a surge tank and pump and not do intank pump. As fuel surge will

be a big problem at 300rwkw.. Also FIT A MONZA. they are a great cooler

and I have many people who are over 300rwkw with these and they are

cheaper.. I have 321rwkw on 11psi.. 5 runs back to back an dropped 20hp

cant be that bad..

cheers guys for the help...

I've had a look at the process west intercoolers and prob goin to go with their stage 2 cooler.

still unsure of on the fuel system?

I am going to be looking at a upgrade again in about 6 months... so that's why im trying to get the gear which is gonna be able to stay in the car with another upgrade (400rwkw)

Few other things,

the guys with the malwood option 3 clutch.. yous guys have any problems with them and where in perth did you get them fitted and for wat $$$... clutch problems are goin to be a real issue I have just reliazed with 300+rwkw.

ohh and a little question to hypnodoc.. have you got the whiteline suspension kit on your car? ive been quoted $1850 + fitting for the whiteline swaybars, koni adj shocks and lower springs.. just would like to know if it makes a big difference to the body roll and if its a lot more rigid. thanks mate :)

and thanks again to you guys for the help, good to know that there are alot of satisfied xr6turbo drivers in perth.. as I am :):):)

yeah you WILL need a clutch FOR SURE, the factory one cant hold with just an edit alone.

nothing wrong with the malwood, but bear in mind they are a forum sponsor here so you get alot of biased opinion. IMHO they are a bit expensive for what you get, and there are better value items out there... I have a clutch industries twin plate which is around the same money as theyre single plate, works great, and I have heard GREAT things about the textralia clutches aswell, a bit more expensive, but worth a look. id be buying a textralia clutch if the one I have ever dies...
