It's leaking a fair bit, particularly after a long stint. I suspect the o-ring to the high pressure pipe has itself.Have organised the ford dealer to check it monday...just interested to see if this is common or otherwise.Bit concerned that the heated fluid is dropping onto the alternator directly below.Cheers senna_T Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ralph Wiggum Moar Powar Babeh Lifetime Members 19,323 Member For: 19y 2m 18d Gender: Male Location: Perth Posted 20/04/08 12:58 AM Share Posted 20/04/08 12:58 AM If your high pressure pipe is leaking fraud willl try and sell you the entire pipe and hose assembly ($400+) if you can't squeeze it through under waranty, your local pirtek/enzed hose dude should have the nouce to replace the fitting with out replacing the hose. If your mech minded you can do it yourself with a junior hacksaw and a dremel with a cut off wheel. You need to cut the old fitting off (without knicking the pipe) and the new fitting with the new oring clips onto the pipe. obviously you'l need to flush the pipe so you dont get any metal contamination in the steering system. You can get the fittings for around $40 from coventries or your local equvilent.Luke Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you only spoke to them they'd be pretty loathe to speculate at that point. My guess is the high pressure hose is leaking. Mine went twice under warrantly on the BA and the last one that went was out of warranty. I replaced it with a reco'd enzed unit.
