To be honest mate I didn't get a chance to see the window switches or the footwell lights, I'll be sure to check it out when our stock cars arrive!

The power window controls have moved to the window switch location on the drivers door though

Senna, I currently own, from new, a 2003 BA manual T with leather, upgraded brakes, premium sound with a sports steering wheel. Am I going to be impressed with either the T or the GE6T (or is it the G6ET, who comes up with this sh*t)? I am going to be looking at them when at the Motor Show next weekend, but I am interested in your thoughts. Nice articles, by the way.

I have been toying with going European, mainly just because of the clunky driveline of my existing vehicle, plus the infamous shhh-shhh-shhh (which appears to have been fixed 12 months ago, funnily enough). I love the performance of the T, but it's a bit basic inside.

when I sat in the FG G6ET @ work a while back, some of the interior plastics seems pretty cheap.. like easily scratched.

I like the rear view camera & all the other features too.

Seemed like a good overall package.

are you sure they are MP3 files or just burnt audio files?

It says there MP3? I downloaded them from the net, then burnt them to disc with windows media player?

Simon (Lightning) - I can gaurantee you will be impressed with the new cars, both XR6T and G6E-T are an impressive car, the best gauge is to drive the vehicles, so don't shelve the idea of another falcon until you actually drive it in real world conditions. The level of refinement and sophistication is far above anything we have produced in the past.

Scribr - the switch gear can look a little cheap, but the functionality is good

Hanra - How many tracks are on it? if you can only fit maybe 20, its not an MP3 file, if it can fit 300 on a single disc, its MP3

Thanks, appreciate the speedy response. I'll take your advice. I have a balloon on the existing finance, so I will refinance that and that will buy me some time to organise a test drive.

Supplementary question, did anyone mention why there's no factory sunroof option in the FG's? Most disappointing.

You know its funny that the lack of sunroof option never came up right throughout the time I was there - the only reason I can think of is that it has something to do with the rigidity of the roof now that it is wider - but that is purely a stab in the dark.
