hi all, the FG F6 is 380kw standard at the flywheel, not 310kw... all other F6s were 310kw standard not the 270kw that ford stated...I have never seen a F6 pull less than 304rwhp on a dyno and iv seen many.. but the FG I saw with less than 200kms on the clock pulled 286rwkw with a 6 speed manual.....cheers

280rwkw seems to be the norm with these cars.I wouldnt say that it has 380kw at the fly. With those numbers at the wheels,I would say around 350kw at the fly.

:+1:

Maybe if it was a XF Falcon with big stall it would lose 35% through the drivetrain. Newer cars are pretty efficient mate :idunno:

Hey guys,

Had mine dynoed and it made 284rwkw with a bit more km on board. I was told by someone that when you convert that to horsepower it comes pretty close to what it would be at the engine in kw, anyone else heard this theory?, first time for me

hi, that's the figure I was working with.. what ever hp you have at the rear wheels is aprox what kw you have at the flywheel.. so 286rwkw divided by .746 gives 383hp so this is normally what kw you would have at the flywheel....cheers

^^ just for clarification, drivetrain losses are something like this:

21% for autos

17% for manuals

The car that ran up 284rwkw's, was it manual or auto?

It was a manual which comes to around 332 with 17% loss then.

I have seen a couple of W427's pull low 290 but their supposed to be 370 something but that is only 340 with 17% loss?.

To many variables hey.
