Why is it, that the price of Crude oil has gone up exponentially, supposedly causing the petrol price rises over the years, yet the cost of a good quality motor oil has remained stagnant for years? I mean around the $70 -$80 range for 5 litres.hmmmm?

Stupid smelly oily dirty fuel!I filled my car up yesterday on my way home in Narwee, Caltex Vortex 98 was 150.9. Normal was 139.9.Still cheaper than Canberra, normal unleaded is still 152.9.
