Mate Dont get caught with two different tyres on the back, thwey do not have to match all round, but rears need to be same as does the fronts, you can have different tyres on the rear than on the fronts.

Scotty

PS I have no idea what a nexxen is, it sounds cheap.

Just get a second one for the rear and test them yourself. If they suck, then send them to the god of smoke and get soem decent ones.

Then do what Zap suggests mate, you may waste a couple of hundred on a sh*t tyre, but it beats a fine, or worse still a kniock back from an insurance company if something bad should happen.

Mate are I to believe from the above post that an insurance company authorised an different tyre to what was fitted on the back of the vehicle and not make it match the other rear?

welll to be precise it was the panel beaters who replaced the tyre not the insurance company.

To hard and not worth the effort to fight it, put another Nexen on it.

Scotty

PS I had a Dulop tyre shop put a dunlop on the back of a Military police car when the other tyre was a bridgstone, could have been the other way round. The end result was that they were an authorised dealer to fit military vehicles and made a Military police vehicle illegal and unroadworthy. Needless to ay when bought to their attention it was rectified.

Interesting theory is that a QLD/VIC only rule cos my other car has passed a rego inspection every year with different tyres on the front side to side. I've competed in motorsport events like this won my class and its never been raised by cams officials.

My XR6 was sold to me by the ford dealer with a dunlop on one rear & non name stuff on the other side.
