Just cracked the 5.0 sec 0-100 in my stock F6 ZF Auto 21,500km's on the clock, 95 Octane E10 fuel and stock Sportmaxx tyres

Did a few starts in Sports shift Auto with too much wheel spin off the mark and was not getting power down I clocked a couple of 5.2s and 5.1s.

Then went into manual mode, foot on the brake powered up and planted it - a bit of spin in 1st, (shifted at 4500-5000rpm) chirp into second and:

I clocked 3 runs of 4.77 4.87 and 4.79 all with traction control off, then strangely did slower times with it on 5.02, 5.20, 5.10

Far Canal - this thing's getting quick.

Its had 6 oil changes since new and no mods- I run 98 octane in it every 10 tanks.

Who needs a $150k eurosports car?

This thing's ballistic

:pinch:

How did you time your car because 4.anything for a stock Phoon just sounds too good to be true, especially on 95RON

Stopwatch.

Three times in a row.

I've seen posts of other guys who have also done just under 5.0 in stock F6's, I didn't believe it when I first read it.

But now I do.

Sounds petty good guys.

Ive got a Stock XR6 Turbo 6 speed manual and my brother and I have got 5 seconds 0-100km/h. best time was 4.95.

But I have to say I needed to dump it/ride the clutch a lil

You bastards and your autos! lol

You wait until I get my Mal Wood's shifter in a few weeks :w00t2:

Saw your vids - noice! Dose, and night road vids are my favs. Have you done any donuts?

Howda F*** did you do it with a video camera - I could barely co-ordinate a stopwatch and the ZF shifter. I think I'd kill myself tryn to do that.

Good luck with your mods- look forward to see what sort of power you get.

Lucky you're in Melb, otherwisw people'd be asking - what are those two silver R-Specs doing dragging eachother (...on that private road over there)!

Yeah I had fun doing those vids. I'm as happy as a pig in sh1t when I'm in my RSpec lol

Haven't done any nuts yet. Can't find a secluded open space to do em, I need someone else to tape that too :spoton: one day!

I just hold the camera with my thumb and finger and the other 3 fingers hold the steering wheel. I couldn't get anything under about 5.4 to 5.5 seconds 0-100. Can't wait to do it again when it's tuned, but traction will be an issue I'm sure.

I'll be doing all of those vids again after it's tuned. It'll be like getting a new car again! Can't wait!

None Taken. You're entitled to your opinion. :spoton:

I think it's quite accurate, my technique is down. I have repeated it time and time again.

When I was doing 5.1's about 5000kms ago it was also very reproduceable, did it 6-7 times in a row.

This time with traction control off, using the brake to power up, and shifting at 4500-5000rpm it was clear I could do it quicker, not once but three times.

When I put the traction control on again it was low 5's. Again 3 times in a row.

So it seems to be pretty accurate from where I was sitting.

Me too, I am a silly grinner when I'm behind the wheel - I love my job, as I can spend a lot of time driving.

Go nuts mate, sounds like you're having a blast - that's wat it's all about - livin' the dream!

I'm booked in for 280+ rwkw!

What would they do 0 - 100kph with 300rwkw out of interest?

The more power you get the harder they are to launch.

I dont think so,Not stock.

I recorded this last night. If you use an online stop watch thingy in the background and watch the speedo, I get to 100 in about 5.5 seconds, and mine's a manual.
