Need some help on wiring a amp to my icc unit I read about wiring RCA plugs to the back of unit, but I have the plug that runs the sat/nav,rev/cam but I would like to find out if I can run it with that plug.

I have the premium sound 6cd.

I have heard that you can do it but knowone has any wiring diagrams , can any one help that would be great.

Sounds like a waste of the stock unit ( not to mention I cant use the buttons on the steering wheel anymore ) but I used the RCA outs from the DVD head unit to go to the amps. That way I had 4 channels and seperate control for the Sub without having to rewire it all. Just means that the stock unit is a fancy display for DVD's and Climate control only.

Not the best result, but effective non the less.

running an aftermarket deck is definately by far the best way to utilise your stereo system, there is only a limited range of things you can do with the stock icc

,yes the sound from a dvd/cd player wired straight to the speakers is good but losing all the functions from the icc just didn't do it for me

I really think gettin asl or someone to hook the dedicated sub line out to the premo 6 stack deck is a way better option for me anyway , if mp3's are your main thing then yes after market head unit straight to speakers ,if not use the icc with sub out and hook the dvd into that with the aux lead

sound isn't as good from the dvd through the icc but still ok for a dvd ,it really comes down to if you can live with a 6 stacker and great sound or you must have mp3 capability

all comes down to personal preference I think

personally, im happy to give up the use of steering wheel controls to get a dvd head unit with all the functions, now I have stock icc again I still forget I have steering wheel controls and use the dial knob

Hi Azid,

Just recapping what is needed to upgrade the base ICC to Colour Screen ICC + DVD:

Colour ICC

DVD player

AUX connector

is that correct? Is there a video converter that needs to be installed between DVD player and Screen?

I'm thinking of replacing my boring interior for a more colourful setup ;)

Thanks mate
