Has anyone tapped into the icc plugs for constant power and used the cig plug for acc & earth? Also does anyone know if there is a problem with connecting power without icc installed? (for testing above theory). The hefty white plug would indicate supply to me but that's just a guess. Just though this may save time/wire extending/squeesing my fat head into the footwell....

Hi guys I'm still new at this but was wondering if anyone knows whether a second hand premium icc can work for this particular upgrade? Or is it only possible with a new icc from asl? Thanks guys. Great post too.

sorry for late reply havnt been on forum in ages account got deleted it had been so long lol

yeah it works with second hand mate I got mine from FTG auto salvage second hand. Doesnt matter if their new or 2nd hand as long as u take the big white and blue plugs of your current icc and move them across

Hey guys,

Im still pretty new to this, just buying my turbz just over A month ago, I've noticed no one has posted I'm here for a while so I thought I'd put my two cents in and see if anyone could help me out. I've got a bf turbo premium interior icc and all that jazz and want to utalise the colour screen with a DVD player (previously had a vz Calais with double din n all that). Okay so after doing a bit of research reading what you guys have had to say, I know I have to get a rgb convertor from ASL, now my issue is what DVD player to go for. These days (2012) it's rather difficult trying to find a single din DVD player (w/o sliding screen) since most ppl use double dins. Im kinda fussy with this sorta stuff and was wondering if anyone could point me I'm the right direction (brand ect) cause I really dont want use that cheap looking one asl provide or use. If anyone could post photos of menu's displayed con their icc, it would be greatly appreciated :)

Also guys it looks like the oly half decent players these days if found are...PHILIPS CED228 and Pioneer DVH-335UB. Also I'd like to find one with outlets on the rear and use cables to glove box or hidden to save cluster. Sorry guys may seem heaps fussy, just used to the neatness of my previous double din, don't mind spending the extra $ to make it suit my needs. So if anyone's keen to help, I'm open to ideas!

So has anybody tried the icc swap and not had to go to ford to reset the code?

Is there a certain icc to look out for, ive read that the icc has to have the codes removed before you buy it to be able to just swap everything over and plug it in.

Sorry, just bought an 04 xr6t and this is all new to me but I'd rather ask the questions before getting burned.

Cheers
