that's the point of my statement

I cant watch an "explanation" of scientific facts when the presenter doesn't even know what truth is

well, go ahead and define "truth" in your terms and then we'll go from there.

truth for me is black and white

it is factual or it is theoretical

truth is fact

ie: I am a man, fact = truth

theory is not truth

maybe one day that theory will become fact, but until then it is not truth

well, this is where you're being philosophical about it... absolute truth's are definition based ones, e.g. "all bachelors are unmarried"

The truth you're speaking of is in how we establish it, specifically.

Science only brings us as close as we can to "absolute truth" by testing hypotheses to establish a theory, never 100% of the way there.

Scientific facts are never 100% sure, but as close as we can reasonably get and the predictive power of the same scientific facts can provide huge value. These same scientific processes and "scientific facts" refute YEC in a multitude of ways.

to believe in a young earth you need to believe the Bible, by faith

Faith is not scientific truth, and there lies the problem

But that's not to say that the bible doesn't have scientific facts in it

of course Faith is in direct opposition to the scientific method.

Don't think we're discussing whether it has "any" scientific facts in it. :idunno:

do you think that the Bible is devoid of science?
