Save it for powercruise Johnny. Go crazy all you like there.

Is saying that, after the death of a participant at summernats on Thursday I think a lot of events will get a shake up. Public liability premiums will go up and stricter rules will eventually ruin the events we all love.

have you seen the circumstances in which the guy suffered the trauma itself?

considering the circumstances, I doubt anything will change.

All I know is he has fallen off the back of a ute and died later in hospital from his injuries.

Ever been to summernats keef?

Youtube tuff st summernats. Hours of footage. It's insane to be standing inches away from a 1000 hp alcohol sucking v8, then they crack it.

That kinda thing will end up stopping I reckon.

They have alcoholic slushy vans ffs. Everyone is drunk just about. The drivers can't be or they get booted out.

I'm seriously depressed I couldn't make it this year for the 30th anniversary.

You've gotta get to it mate. It's insane.

Fair points there skidxr6t.

You mention that there aren't repeat offenders and that shows that the penalties are working as a punishment.

What it also shows to me is that the current laws and penalties are not working as a deterrent.

I think we should be tough on the offenses that have the potential to kill people.

Perhaps a 90 day impound and a 12 month loss of license with over $5k of mandatory fines for a first offense, for example, may seem harsh but I think that would be a sufficient deterrent to prevent people from risking my life and yours.

On the topic of racing events imo sh*t happens. You knew what you signed up for.

Despite waivers there is legal recourse in some circumstance such as assault and personal/criminal negligence etc if it can be proven.

Anywayyyy:happy114:

I bought a pressure cooker a few months ago. I think it was about a hundred bucks.

If you don't own one then go out and get one asap.

It pretty much cooks stuff 5 times faster than a pan or pot.

There are so many recipes online, they are simple af and taste delicious!

It brings batchelor food to a whole new level.

Bolognese, stews, soups, chicken legs or tittays, lamb casserole the list goes on.

I've even made what I like to call, "hotdog chicken". It has a couple of chicken breasts, American mustard, sweet chilli sauce, tomato sauce, a little bit of nandos medium peri peri and some honey.

That should go well with quality pan sealed snags or chorizo instead of chicken.

Tl;dr buy a pressure cooker and reap the rewards.
