I don't go all at Christmas but every now then I say to myself "fark it it's Christmas" and turn it up a couple of notches. Very nice dan is this your new house you have been telling us about. Needs a carport for the Honda. First day of the holidays for this little black duck. WOO HOO!!! 13 days off. Go back on the 9th in the new year. 34 degrees here in adelaide today, so its time to go to the beach or head to the old chooks for a swim in her pool.

Posted 23/12/16 12:10 AM Share Posted 23/12/16 12:10 AM This weekend might be interesting, I have Christmas dinner at the ex-Police uncle's place. Now from what I remembered at the time, he was either in charge of or (as Commander of Perth & Central regions) at least had his fingers on the pulse of what was happening with the Macro task force for the Claremont serial killings - funnily enough his future son-in-law was on the task force - so with the news coming out this morning, it will be interesting if he says anything, he hasn't in the past. I also found out this morning that Jane Rimmer's brother is best friends with one of the staff here. I also remember the day Ciara Glennon's body was found, my first job was in a retail computer store and one of our dealer's who was Irish, we found out was quite well known in the Irish community and I was sitting across from him when he received a phone call from Mr Glennon confirming it was her body that had been found. Perth really is more of a large country town than a city, with how often the 6 degrees of separation thing happens.

Staff can either take half day the Friday before Christmas day or half day the Friday before New Years day. As such I'm probably going to have to set staff up that have never been on telephone queues before or give them access to department drives etc. that they don't usually have, because Manglement don't consider consequences until it bites them in the bum. Funny how they always go on about needing "outside the box" thinkers.

One woman came in on a Monday morning last year all pleased with her new hair cut. She paid $300 for it and I really couldn't see a difference, it still looked long and straight with the same colour she had on Friday. Apparently women have this sense us blokes don't, as they noticed it and it was <insert compliment here> I pointed to my ugly mug, said number 3, tapered on the back and sides, $23. Apparently the cost of women's hair cuts is a major sore point and I expect many a married man has quickly got on the wrong side of their Significant Other (otherwise known as the Minister for War & Finance or The Dragon Lady, unless hubbie wants something, in which case it's Dear or Darling or <insert other soppy comment here>) if they dare not notice her new absolutely stunning look. Just about every bloke I talked to afterwards agreed with my assessment of not seeing any difference to her look.
