I don't know whether I put my foot in it today or not. I did the OSH induction for two new higher ups this morning.

One section of our building only has one exit for about 1/3 of the staff in that area, (4 - 8 staff in total) I pointed this out like I always do and mentioned "worse case scenario" which probably won't ever happen, although with our temperamental air con, who knows, that an alternative is out the windows onto the safety screens underneath & a drop down onto the bbq area downstairs & take the stairs to the ground.

Now that area is on the second floor & would be a bastard & a half to get a fire tender near to use the ladder & this is "worse case scenario" but they both looked at each other & said that's got to be against some regulation. So they will probably bring it up with the HR Manager tomorrow along with getting a defibrillator (which I agree with but the company cited the costs last year when it was brought up).

So now I don't if I've stuffed up or what. I spoke to the previous OH&S rep & he said he had never thought of that & expected the staff to in his words be "crispy critters".

it's still good... just not that good to share, imho... but I don't share much, so, my opinion here is quite redundant :)
