it's too ffing cold.

so of course I'm drinking a freezing cold can of monster energy drink.

Solid logic. I can't actually remember the last time I had an energy drink. I did have a 4 pack of V at work once (within a fairly short period of time)...that was a terrible terrible idea. The comedown was unlike any I've experienced before or since. 1/10 would not bang.

Do you pretend you're mildly frustrated all day so it gives the illusion that you're 'really' into your work?

I bet you've also called your voicemail 8 times and angrily hung up mumbling 'gosh he never answers my calls'.

hahahaha

I work from home too - only enjoyment I get during the day is from pretending stuff.

Today I'm pretending I'm really cool, successful in life and generally well liked.

Yesterday I was a spaceman.

Tomorrow's Saturday and no work, so back to my drab, real existence :(

you seem experienced with stimulant/sugar come downs? :stirthepot::busted1:

mmmm screw the servos though, I walked in and saw the 4 pack of monster and just couldn't resist. Only topped up the car,  bloody 139.9 for 98 octane! beats paying $1.70-$2 as it was when I had my old turbofalcon though!

that sucks about the outage EZY2C.... Hopefully people are understanding.......

Well today started off great NOT!

Our main system is currently suffering an outage, which means about 120 pissed off staff come 8:00 AM if it's not up and running.

My life is just one big wave of ups and downs. Caffeine addiction combined with an over active brain isn't the greatest of things.

Yeah, servos are bad like that hey. Although, I can't remember the last time I bought fuel and ended up buying something else...I've gotten pretty good at walking past all the crap in the servos.

Does anyone know what this is? Light switch obviously, but looks like an IR receiver or something in the middle?

My guess is light dependent resistor, similar to ones they put in roadside lights so they turn on when certain light conditions are met, instead of using a timer.

I was thinking the same - til I realised - sensor sees it's dark, turns light on, sensor sees that it's light, turns light off, sensor sees that it's dark......
