Stall it up a bit to reduce the gap?

Is that bad for the auto? I was under the impression you need a high stall converter like when you're at the drags.

Not really. Stock ZF limits the revs in neutral. EDIT: it's just bad for tyre wear :P

Revving in neutral, wut

In gear foot on brake to build a bit of boost, derrrrr.  Not much you can build on the street though, tyre spin city.

Yeah it wouldn't be practical on the street, unless you're really good at anticipating the green light change. I think after I get a good set of tyres, power mods and a tune I won't be too bothered about it. Still stock but the in gear accelerations continue to impress me like "whoa"

Just came back from Tokyo, went through Toyotas showroom. they are pumping big money into hydrogen powered cars, seems to be there movement to the next clean energy...... Guessing they have worked out the kinks from the Hindenburg...

Hydrogen is ok but the problem still lies with the huge amount of energy to seperate from water (I cannot begin to describe how much energy is required for this) or seperate from hydrocarbons (which is also incredibly dirty) although japan likes nuclear so that's probably in hydrogens favour

all agreed but they are in the process. big display of where the hydrogen tanks are, the converter and how it all works. didnt look into it too much. was too distracted by the race division (not TRD but another branch they have) and the 86's.

I just did some research on compression ratios. Seems like boosted cars have lower ratios meaning less power when off boost as opposed to a N/A car with a higher compression ratio. Interesting.
