Haha yeah I just had a look myself. Was curious to see how it would fare against a GTR and stumbled upon this video. Very even down the quarter mile, both running 11's. I would imagine the GTR would slowly keep pulling away after that though.

That gtr has way more power it walks past easy

That instantaneous electric motor torque must feel crazy though. They'll just keep getting quicker until there's no way a petrol engine will be able to keep up as long as the battery technology can keep up

that's the problem

Batteries are disgusting to produce and plugged into a coal fired power grid isnt has environmentally friendly as some may think

High compression spark ignited ethanol cars and bio diesel are the future for the ICE

Until we get nuclear fission or fusion in aus along with supercapictors instead of batteries the electric car will be gimicky.

Handy for the city folk but long trips but constant driving is an issue

Just came back from Tokyo, went through Toyotas showroom. they are pumping big money into hydrogen powered cars, seems to be there movement to the next clean energy...... Guessing they have worked out the kinks from the Hindenburg...

I might have different expectations with it being the only turbo car I've driven so I can't compare them to the previous models or JDM cars when it comes to turbo response. It just irks me when some N/A cars can get the jump on you off the line, even if that lead is short lived.

Stall it up a bit to reduce the gap?

 

Personally I love reeling them in that car length or so and then it's all over red rover.
