I do wonder when using the word like that will become completely non-offensive. It seems to be heading that way, slowly.

well, it clearly got more offensive for a while there, when it was used as a negative slur.

Now it's still used as a negative slur, but the stigma is gone. Hardly anybody equates "gay" with a "negative" stigma anymore.

I think the term '*beep*' gets the job done there.

ANYBUTT.

Ford's now officially admitted they're doing the Sprint, but no real details beside it coming late-ish next year. They reckon it'll be a collectable, thus reckoning it's okay to overprice these things. Yay.

Also, Top Gear fans can either breathe a sigh or relief or start writing angry posts online, because the two co-hosts joining Chris Evans are... Sabine Schmitz and Chris Harris! Long-time fans of Top Gear will know Sabine from early seasons as the Queen of the Nürburgring, her expertise important for racing Ford Transit vans past Porches, teaching Jeremy to get a diesel Jag around in under 10 minutes, and get beaten by the cheating Brits in a series of challenges.

Anyone worth their salt as international car fans will know Chris Harris, automotive journalist extraordinaire and keen hobby racer. He's been around the traps a while now, writing for many respected online car sites, and currently has his own YouTube channel, which I'm worried has its days numbered. He and Sabine are both skilled drivers, but Harris likes to hang the arse out a lot more, and can actually articulate his thoughts in both an entertaining and a factual manner.

The UK papers are calling these two 'virtual-unknowns' because they're tabloid f*ck knuckles who want celebrities without the first clue driving expensive cars instead. I think, internationally, Schmitz and Harris will be more well known then, say, Jodie Kidd (whose got her own car show anyway). They're awful quick to write them off, even if it's just the paper-equivalent of click-bait. So as far as I'm concerned, they've got two really decent co-hosts and the press is up in arms just for the sake of it, and to call these two unknowns really sh*ts me.

I'm now in the camp of 'wait and see' for the new Top Gear. That sense of trepidation isn't as bad as Clarkson, Hammond and May's still-unnamed show in the works, but I really want to give the new Top Gear some benefit of the doubt, all things considered.

EDIT: HOLYYYY FAAAARK the forum just had a major breakdown when I edited this post. I guess those FIFOs better hurry and donate loloolkklkfdjf

No pricing and spec till January. I can already see the greedy dealers slapping 70k on them...the Turbo sprint better be bonkers to warrant such a price tag. If the rumors arent true and it just gets fg f6 config...big let down in a way coz imo fgx xr6t should have got atleast that config to begin with. Same power plant as 08????

Wasn't sabine on fifth gear? I said right from clarksons firing they will need chris harris to rescue it. Didnt think they would get him though.

Sounds like a top gear I would watch.
