Thinking about buying a PHEV, the new Mitsubishi Outlander Aspire when it comes out next year.

Thoughts.

The Outlander PHEV is a 1859 kg SUV with mod cons and better than most most soft roaders off-road ability.

52 km on EV mode daily, I do 102 km. So even if it does 7 lt per 100 km in petrol mode it still should average out around 4 lt per 100 km.

Yes there are electricity cost to consider as well. But next house I have will have solar panels, maybe even a battery bank to go with it.

Support for electric vehicles in Australia is pretty darn poor. At least cursory Google searches haven't turned up much.

It will see some wet grass and the occasional graded dirt road.

To be honest I haven't gone that far yet still going through a thought process.

But taking my grand daughters for a run along a beach or forest track does sound good.

Could they keep up with it? Wow, I though electric cars were supposed to be fast.

A man takes his family to the zoo. All the cages, pens and enclosure are empty.

Finally he finds one cage with an animal in it. It's one dog.

It's a sh*tzu.

Got a local doc out to see me tonight. He is a black African man and a current affair just finished. Next show KKK the fight for white supremacy. I must say he did look at me weird when that came on.
