( I get one day off a year for the yearly medical)Basically my company owns me.I should know something was up when the where so eager to set me up to work from home.....I can't complain really, they give me all the free coffee I can drink,so I've got that going for me. Which is nice.

Base salary is decent.. But every hour of O/T is paid at 50% of my charge rate for the job I'm working on.. So OT only gets paid if you can bill someone for the work you do..Sad fact was I worked bigger hours for less money in my last job but I think I enjoyed it more.. (See tabs post about apprenticeship lifestyle previously)Another sad fact is that O/T is probably more the tax, mans friend than yours the old law of diminsihing returns( accounting voodoo excluded from the assumption lol)

(Calculated up from the typical base salary and tax level)..The real way to take home big dollars for me is in allowances.. The 12hrs a day and working away is factored into my salary though, so decent rate. No OT pay though, written into my contact that my salary includes "reasonable OT". Haven't really had to do much OT recently, but was a while there it was a fairly regular deal.Training course today was interesting, brain started to slow down a bit this arvo though...still seems like we have a lot of ground to cover tomorrow. It did alert me to another course I want to do through them that's coming up in October and my boss is happy to send me on, so that's a thing. That course is learning Lava scripting/Pearl...my inner nerd is excited!
