I guess they didnt know what the call out was because it is common sense 101 that you stay well clear when fuel and fertilizer are in the equation.....

Id do exactly the same.

Id rather be severly injured/die knowing I did my very best trying to rescue any casualties than stand by on a cordon.

x2 here im with MS.

Ya!! im back and had a very interesting morning at Sutton United servo. Needed to fill up and noticed they sold premium 100 + 10% ethanol fuel whilst filling I saw this wanker next to me being a dick because the pump stopped working.

A staff member came out and said its stopped working the pump must be broken. Well this other bloke lots his sh1t going off. I finished filling up walked over and told him to calm down nothing he can do if the pump is broken.

This wanker went to take off not paying so the staff member stood in front of the car and took photos. I was inside this time waiting for the staff member to return so I can pay. The cranky pants then gets out of his car come inside to pay for his 12lts still carrying on swearing and verbally assaulting the staff member. I paid turned to him and said gee life must be hard for you if you have nothing better to do than insult this man for doing his job.

Cranky Pants - nothing to do with you.

Me - It is now mate there is no need to speak to people like this, things brake from time to time. Move down and put some other fuel in.

Cranky Pants - Im not putting that sh1t in my car.

Me - No because its in here ATM..............LOL he didnt like that and the staff member started laughing.

I left the store and when I got to the car the kids needed to go to the toilet efore our 2.5hr drive home. As I opened the door I walked through Mr cranky pants was there and pushed straight pass my kids. Game over!!

Me - Hey tough guy like pushing kids do ya come back here and push me f*#kwit. No reply. F*%K OFF D!CKHEAD!!

The staff member said thank you for helping him out. Not a problem mate

That was my only highlight from spending the weekend in Canberra. Hope all the Dads had a great Fathers Day yesterday. WE ROCK!!

I read this with interest. The first rule of first aid is never put yourself in danger. Mainly because you getting injured only worsens the problem. A hard instinct to ignore. Take the firefighters in 9/11 and other emergency responders.

Just a casual observation. Be safe all.

Yes we're trained exactly the same way and it did cross my mind when I first saw the story.

I can only assume they would have done a quick risk assessment and obviously made the wrong call.

But fireries like police do this on a daily basis so I'd have to side with their judgement .

Sometimes those blokes don't do risk assessments.. They just act..

When a building is one fire.. Almost any conventional risk assessment says 'STAY OUT OF THE EFFIN BUILDING'.. But these blokes do what they do daily and should be thanked for it.

Bloody oath. And I'm pretty sure if it was your loved one in imminent danger you'd want them to skip the JSAs and get the fck in amongst it.

Thankfully I've never been put in such an extreme position myself but would like to think the adrenalin would kick in and I'd be doing anything possible. No way could I just stand back and wait for divine intervention.

^^ lol well the incident happened in NSW but close enough to Canberra to know for sure that Mr Cranky Pants lives in Canberra.

Im now keen to see what if any difference the premium 100 + 10% ethanol fuel over the 98ron I normally use.
